June Box ~ ‘CalmMe’
Hey there my beautiful friends,
I hope you’ve been keeping well. How gorgeous has the sunshine been recently! I’ve definitely loved long days out with River, soaking-up the the suns rays at the beach/pier/park. It’s nice to pack a picnic, head to the beach with a blanket & just have a full day out (relatively cheaply). I do stop sometimes for a coffee (during nap time), it’s my little slice of calm in the day to think about my business and to plan the monthly boxes.
Speaking of calm, serenity, calm & relaxation were the inspiration behind the June monthly subscription box. I wanted to create a box of Zen to chill the mind, body & soul ahead of the full-on Summer months when lots of extra energy is needed for all the fun in the sun to be had!
I’ve always wanted to create my own eye pillow & these were so much to design and stitch! With dried lavender, chamomile & organic oat groats, the Calming Eye Pillow took centre-stage in the bountiful June box. The pretty coral & mustard tulip fabric was an amazing find & if fit the colour palette of the box perfectly! I watched lots of YouTube videos before cutting the fabric though as I didn’t want to waste any! Did you know that every monthly box showcases a beautiful gemstone in some way? The June box featured Pink Tourmaline known for its balancing, calming & stress-reducing properties. All wrapped in pretty tissue paper with its own drawstring cotton bag; it can be kept in your bag, placed under your pillow at night or displayed on your dressing table (in a handmade clay trinket dish ~ which I’ve been making lots of recently).
Hands-up if you can’t resist anything make of clay?! Is it just me?! This crescent moon clay keepsake was the cherry on top of the June box, an extra sprinkle of magic to make it even more special. Another hand-crafted piece was the boho incense holder in pretty peach with gold accents. A real labour of love and I definitely made a mess in my studio but it was worth it!
Each month, the theme of the subscription changes and I had lots of fun at the beginning of the year planning the months ahead. The theme for July is ‘Sunshine in my Soul’, a collection of beautiful products to remind you that you are golden. You can grab a July Taster box (a way of dipping your toe in to see how it all works before you sign-up!).
